Firefox allergy? |
Quote |
For some reason I can't access the forums using Firefox. Everytime I'm in the middle of downloading LAH's main forum page, Firefox closes up.
Plus, I've noticed that my cookie doesn't work, since there's a "log in" option, and not my username.
I tried deleting my cookies, but it won't work. I'm using IE now (which I hate...)
Anyone knows anything?

Uhm, try clearing everything; if all else fails, reinstall firefox.
you can back up your book marks also in firefox so.. no worries there.

Doesn't work so far.
If I didn't have access to this site at least in one way, it would have been a lot worse.
Maybe if I upgrade to Firefox 2.0 or something...

Um, yes, that is probably caused by the new security on lah. You might experience a freeze for a couple of seconds, but it should not really close up. Upgrading to firefox2 is very recommended...

And if that still fails, try the "clear private data" tool. I forget where it is in the Windows Firefox interface

BTW, another just-in-case browser could be Opera. It's not free (as in speech) software, but it's free as in beer.

And crashes on some sites with Firefox might be because of some of the addons you use. So with a fresh install with no extensions OR turning off all your extensions you should be able to tell.

It's probabely an add-on of some sort. I installed Firefox 2.0, and still have that problem.
One of my add-ons, FEBE, went haywire on me, so I uninstalled it. It wasn't the source of the problem, as it seems, though.
I'll try all your advices, and hopefully something would turn out.
Thank you.
