What could have happened? |

Well, as I'm too lazy to register at other places just to ask one tech question, I'll tell my story here:
About two hours ago I just normally closed the lid to my notebook (Asus a53s), just as always and it went into sleep mode just fine. Half an hour ago I wanted to wake it up again, I did it just like always pressing the power button, but only the power light next to it and the two LEDs on the lower bar indicating power on and the charging thing is plugged in went on, no sounds at all like I'm used from the air fan/HDD turning on and nothing on the screen. It didn't react at all to anything.
So after a short while of panicing (not too much since in the worst case scenario I'll just open the thing and retrieve the HDD for data) I removed the battery, put it back in, gave a short prayer of "please work again now" and pressed the power button again.
It worked just fine, started with the usual "continuing Windows"-screen and apparently even woke up from the sleep-mode normally (I was expecting a memory flush and hoped for just a new reboot).
So now I wonder: What could have happened?
I didn't clean anything prior to the second starting try (i.e. removing a short-circuit that way), put no magnets near it at all before or afterwards and didn't anything that might have caused it so I'm unsure if I have to expect the same thing happening again.
Now if this thing lives until then, I guess it'll be a full backup this weekend.
