I have no idea who did the translation but it doesn't appear to be machine translated, there's some odd choices of words here and there but things like names and game mechanic terms are treated consistently. The translator even converted the emergency phone number used at one point to 911. (It's 110 in Japan)
I do recommend checking out the translated version, the story in this one is quite good.

Having to wait 3.5 hours because of 50kb/s speed is bullshit. Is there some other download link that's not throttled?

I had just finished downloading uploaded mirror when you posted. Downloaded yours to compare as well. I only just confirmed that both open and have different menus from the unity auto translate. Very interesting, is it a complete translation?
Edit: also any idea who translated it?

Yes, I've 100%ed the game. The translation is apparently done by someone from 4chan, according to hxxps://f95zone.to/threads/translation-request-procreation-of-chimera.40575/page-2#post-5048839

For anyone still trying to get the english translation and who doesn't want to wait for a long download I've seperated out the files that translate the game to english and archived them together. So after downloading the base game you can just replace the original files with these new ones. The file size is small because it's only the files for translating the game, this way no one will have to redownload the entire game.

Not as enjoyable as Marunomi when it comes to the gameplay for me but still refreshingly new if you ask me.
Anyone got/know a walkthrough for this? I'm feeling determined to read through everything they got for me in this game

While there is a tactics guide on the Circle Bakery's website I would recommend using the hints that one character gives in the dreams to try to piece it together yourself.

For an MTL look into Unity Auto Translate. it's not perfect by any stretch of the word but it's better than nothing.
