Bakery: Female Offerings are Spirited Away

So I don't typically contribute (very rare you guys don't already have osmething) but here's the most recent game from the Circle Bakery "Female Offerings are Spirited Away" or "Kamikakushi Shoujo Nie (神隠ししょぅじょ贄)". Like the circle's previous works you attempt to sneak up on your target girls. The mechanics are definitely more developed in this game. Sadly there is no english version (yet? anyone, please?) but the Unity Auto Translator kinda works on it. This is version v1.05 (Sep/03/2020).

I just picked a random multi-uploader just to save me time on creating mirrors Razz

Once I open the game the Unity logo appears and then the game crashes. Also, the text of the executable is is "É_ëBéÁ éÁéÕéúéÂéÕµÐ". Is there a fix to this?

You need to use a locale emulator or change your windows settings to read japanese

have you gotten past the part where the game's trying to hold your hand in the prologue? the "tutorial" is a bit glitchy and kinda picky about the way you do certain things.

No, that's the problem. I can't catch that first girl no matter what i do. I got close once by randomly taping powers but I don't know what i am doing even with the translation because they don't make a lot of sense.

The sacrifice has three states and a pattern of powers they use. The three states are Facing, Looking Over Shoulder and Not Facing. The state the sacrifice is in depends on their "alertness". At the top of the screen indicates what type, if any, power the sacrifice is using. Hovering over the sacrifice's power will tell you what the power is and it's activation conditions. While the translations are rough if you can understand the activation conditions for the sacrifice's powers you can know how to avoid giving them erosion energy. If you use the same type of power as the sacrifice it increases their alertness, and possibly their erosion energy, and makes them look towards you. When the sacrifice is facing you you can not move forward. If you save an erosion ball you can use it by right clicking to get the sacrifice to look away from you. You can also right click while the sacrifice is looking away or over their shoulder to move really fast by consuming an erosion ball. If you don't force the sacrifice to look away from you they will accumulate erosion energy. For the first sacrifice 2 times of facing you is enough for them to gain an erosion ball. That ball will allow them to move really fast to escape, so don't let them get the energy.

Here are the powers that are available against the first sacrifice.

1. The one that's in the middle is a hearing distraction. It gives you erosion energy while the sacrifice is looking away from you.
2. The one left of the middle, is a seeing distraction, it gives you erosion energy while the sacrifice is either looking at you or looking over their shoulder.
3. The one right of the middle, is a movement prediction. It gives you erosion energy if activated before the sacrifice changes their alertness state from either not looking at you to over the shoulder or over the shoulder to not looking at you.
4. The far right one is a movement prediction. It gives you erosion energy if activated just before the sacrifice looks at you, in essence "locking eyes".

Knowing when to activate these powers and using the erosion balls to both turn the sacrifice around and or move faster towards them should be enough to easily get you past the first sacrifice.

I finally managed to beat the game, this is really surprisingly deep and the story is pretty good too. You do need a guide to complete it and get the happy ending though, Google the jp name to find some.

The circle has an "official" tactics guide but it's in Japanese. Google page translate is barely understandable.

is an eng forum thread with some good info that got me past the more difficult spots. (specifically I had a lot of trouble figuring out how to get amy and secret kid to meet up, which is required for a lot of plot stuff to happen)
