Main file updating Failed, Operation Canceled
Main file data Integrity (CRC) error
that all it says is it just me or is it an error with the updater?

First of all, I just wanted to say a big thanks to Sat and all thosewho've been working away at this project to make it as great as it is. Fantastic stuff guys, and I'm looking forward to the next update.
In the meantime...
I've also obtained the dynamite, and taken it to the bricklayer on the 6th floor, only to have nothing happen.
Not only that, but I also defeated the Moonshadow girl, and can't get into the templey-type area on floor 7. She didn't drop any items for me, as far as I can tell.
Any helpful advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Just found this project yesterday. I had beaten the game previously a few years back... and gave up on searching for a translation way back then. Luckily a perverted friend found the game in my folders and brought it to mind. 
Anyway... wondering if anyone figured out that dynamite issue yet.
Since restarting. (I kind of screwed up my old save file, I played around with both it and the game files to half-assedly hack myself a golden axe) I've gotten as far as... getting everything destroyed in the towers and returning to the village to restart. --- So... I guess this time around I'll try getting all the remaining pictures... exploring that castle... getting behind that dynamite wall...
*Edit*
Went into the castle... defeated the main enemy there... Went back to the tower... Got past the wall this time. Just ran back to grab the explosives the second after I talked to the wall girl. --- Got the gold key and axe... --- Got the platinum armor and sword of justice.

But now I can't get through that shrine thing on level 7. ;_;

This same exact thing is happeneing to me. I don't know what to do either.

Actually the problem (somehow) ended up correcting itself after I rebooted. So it's all good now.

I seem to be missing some thing fairly important but I can not even get the translation patches to work at all... the game works fine but nothing is translated no matter how many times I install the patches.

Did you point the patch installer to the same directory to where you put the game? By default, the Patch Installer points at C:\Turupeta. I copied the .ips to the main game directory, opened it and pointed it the folder it was now in. Try that, and there shouldn't be any problems.
Generally, the Clean Installer seems to work better overall. I have no idea why.
EDIT: Fixed bad grammer mistake.
