I never undertood why they make such a big deal out of it in the first place, I mean shouldn't it be common sense to check the FAQ when you don't know something?

Anyone with even a modicum of sense should be able to work out where the password is. I thought it was fairly obvious.

yeah but these people are too used to imageboard and torrents, where you have to do nothing to get something, just click on the download link. The way we have things here confuses them greatly because suddenly they have to actually do something to get their files.

And there we have the thing that always astonishes me:
they are smart enough to get torrents running (sometimes including quite some port-hassle so it's also 'something to do'), but aren't smart enough to look into the FAQ when something doesn't work.

To my shame I have to admit that I'm not very active in *-chans since I got here.
(Guess why?)
The last time I really was in one of those people still picked on posters of RS, MU and so on links that the /t/ board is solely for torrents.

What shame? I've never been active on the -chans.
