Thanks for the program, also the last post sonsaku made telling you how to bypass the error with installing on vista, the program from the download is called applocale.msi slightly different from what sonsaku was telling you to run in command promt, also to change directories in command promt(for those of us who can't remember anything like that from computer class and had to look it up) the command was
cd C:\ then enter
to get your little command line to just read C:\ so that you could then type C:\applocale.msi and hit enter and then it works
Although i never would have figured out how to do it without sonsaku's help.

Bastille: Since people repeatedly complain about issues with changing the language and everything, I might as well post this which I use. Basically what it does is add the option to launch the .exe with japanese locale settings via the right click menu and avoid having to open applocale every time, though you still need to have it installed in order to use it and thus it is included with it in case you don't already have it.
Note: I didn't create this so I can't give advice on any issues that arise, but considering the simplicity involved, I doubt there would be any

hxxp://rapidshare.com/files/49286741/_HentaiShare_.locale.jap.to.exe.context.rar.html
I recently got myself a laptop with Vista on it, and since it worked without a hitch, I can say that it should work for everyone in Vista, though I have disabled things here and there to make Vista somewhat decent to my tastes so again, any issues, just post them in the support forum.
WOW!!!!!!!!!
That has got to be the second most useful program I have ever gotten for my loli collection- right after my WEB BROWSER!
A thousand thank yous Bastille. I've always hated having to switch back and forth.

Hi everyone
I cant say I post often (or ever...!) but I follow this forum and it's juat AMAZING!
I've found this topic, and I thought that meybe here I could find someone with the same problem I have, and it's been a while that I've been knocking my head on it
I'd like to play once again Immoral Study 1.
I can't, I have Win Xp and all the tricks (rightclick-properties-etc..) dont work. I googled, and I found out that it's impossible. I MUST run Win95 (or 98?).
What is the simplest way to do so? Emulate? Because partitioning the HD seems quite heavy to me...and Im not sure I could do it easyly is that the only way?
I downloaded Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. I know that here it doesnt work Win95, but I tried anyway (with some addons, I heard..). The fact is that I dont und how to install Win95...do I need an ISO?
Thanks to ANYONE for some help

If you have lots of memory and pretty fast computer this is the way I recommend:
I'm running games in virtualpc with a virtualized second copy of WinXP which is set to japanese
locale, it works pretty good, at least for most adv games. Put the XP-image on a truecrypt drive, and you can do all your private surfing of the web from there as well.

Mediafire added, though the other two links still worked for me.

Browse to the drive after mounted and launch the setup .exe with this.

Hi all, just thought I'd throw my input in as I've been able to get everything running great on win7 ultimate x64, without using applocale!
Originally I was using my xp sp3, but that's technically my work system, and out of prudence I decided to find a better place to put my loli- so I loaded a dual boot with an encrypted partition and setup for my personal stuff, including the fast growing loli collection.
I initially did alot of google searching and tried several different things at once out of impatience, but then I rolled back, ididn't even have to change my sys locale to japanese (japan); just set (under Region and Language-> Admin tab-> language for non-unicode programs) to japanese and with my kybrd set to united kingdom and US I've tested it fine on several games inclding pl2, imouto, robozou. Had to instal service; japanese kybrd IME even though not using it- installing seems to have installed additional unicode support.
That was it, other things I tried including a version of applocale I found, and an INF pack for eastern languages didn't make a difference. I think it was actually easier on 7 than xp sp3!
Hope this helps, if it's confusing ask and I'll try to elaborate with my limited tech vocab.
Enjoy!

Bastille: March 23, 2010: Both my systems have migrated over to Windows 7, one running 32-bit and one running 64-bit, and I run applocale on both just fine. Same as Vista, can't assure compatibility for everyone, but I didn't tear apart 7 the way I did Vista so it should be fine. NTLEA however is not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit. Have not tried it with 32-bit yet.
I don't have windows 7, but which version of NTLEA did you try?
You can get v0.87 from the official page, it mentions something about windows 7 in the readme but I dont't read chinese:
hxxp://galstars.konosekai.com/download/NTLEA/index.html
There is also the NTLER which I haven't tried:
