 Pixel Art needed |

Yeah, your eyes aren't failing you, it's actually me requesting.
Okay, here's the story:
Some of you have possibly noticed that I am porting Hizashi no naka no riaru to the DS.
There is something, though. Some of the scenes only use one of the two screens, and the other screen looks fairly empty.
To fix this, I would need a pixel artist to make me a small picture, or a short animation loop, to display on the free screen.
Specifications: The screen has 256x192 pixels, so it should be somewhere in the middle of the screen.
I am not really expecting too much from this, but it's worth a try.
As for the possible theme, it shouldn't "steal focus" while the story is on the other screen.
My best bet would be some sd-pixel graphic of the girl in hizashi, but I guess anything works.
Help very appreciated, and of course you get a place in the credits.

Ok i made one but i need to know the following cos I've never developed anything for DS:
What file format would you like the animation in?
Any specific codecs?
Framerate?
Colour depth?
Size limit in Kb?

Make it either separate frames or animated gif.
Framerate is constant 60fps max, but can be set to what I want.
Color depth, 256 colors please.

Includes gif and BMP frames. You can make her move her head down, blink with head down and blink with head up, by messing about with them.
I've got a lot of free time now (uni's almost finished) so if you don't like it or want something different then I can take the opportunity to refresh my skills.

This is nice, but it probably is indeed pretty distracting.
It will make you look at the free screen while the stuff happens on the other.
What I had in mind really was a pixel graphic, that would be maybe in the middle of the screen, fairly small.
This one takes up the whole screen, and cannot really be used as a "screen stand-by". Sorry.
If you have any possible ideas, feel free to contact me, if not, thank you for trying, I appreciate it.
(It might be a good idea if you joined us in lah's skype room perhaps, or used an IM, its faster )

Okay, concept: splash art; a sketchy pencil drawing, in white, of the main character laid over a texture with a logo or something embossed or etched into. Basically greyscale, though tending toward one color, maybe blue or brown, or whatever. Not exactly what you're describing, I know, but it would fill the screen and really not be distracting at all.

That's what I thought. I just need an image of the character as source material, and a logo, if you have one, and I'll work something up.

Here's how she looks like. Though if small art, then probably not this outfit, but the pigtail one.
Edit: I have extracted this from the title menu screen. It might be of use. Its usually in the background but I guess it might be useful. Transparency information is still intact.

A simple possiblity is splash art that is essentially a clean version of the top menu; that would integrate the screen with the rest of the game. I think the black versions would be less distracting, simply because it's not as bright.
