Running .exe on a Macintoch? |
Quote |
I'm using a macbook pro, and I can't help but notice that there are very few .dmg files on this lovely site. How can I run .exe on my macintosh??? I heard that it is possible to install XP on the mac, but I'm looking for an alternative...
Thanks!

Just a hint... Do Not Install Bootcamp On Your Mac
Anyway try Stuffit Expander. It supposedly works.

Bootcamp apparently works fine, I heard. I guess there is no way to run exe on a mac except installing windows or using VMWare or something...

Here's how I see it.
Pc is for gamers.
Mac is for the creative type.
Linux is for the 1337.
Bootcamp is for the fuxored up in the head.

It's nice that you are expressing your personal opinion. But the guy asked what possibilities there are, and bootcamp is one of them so let's try to help.

I used to game, but pretty much only play Loli H-games now
I draw / paint / create music etc.
I code in various languages and support alternate OS' including various flavors of Linux
So with Vista PC what does that make me?
Just curious...
(BTW for those of you supporting Linux in the server environment who want a solid 100% exchange server /sharepoint replacement solution (IE an SBS killer) in open source should check out Scalix and Alfresco repsectively. Way cool stuff...)

Flying Horses, they run a dual/triple boot system, that's what.

Triple/dual boot system? Are you nutz? XD What a pain. I prefer running virtual servers, then I can have as many flavors tied into as many IPs as I need within the limitation of the physical serving components. Then I can just TS to which over server I want by IP including Linux
Make regular backups of your virtual disks and go from there.

Yes it does. It's just mumbo jumbo that kind of makes sense but is really just a string of made up words that fills up space.
