Hey all i'm fairly new to the site but i saw this and realized that I could help ALOT! Not with anything like creating sprites or what not but i've been playing videogames ALOT since i was 6 years old. I've played enough RPGs to know what makes a great innovative story and just in the three minuites it took to read this thread i've come up with a bunch of intresting ideas. I can help out alot with ideas involving class and crafting systems. Battle systems. Puzzles. Ideas for the setting, and character ideas. I think it would be awesome to talk about it on Skype. These are things that should be spoken about not just exchanging pieces of paper.

If you dont know what Skype is its a program that lets you "call" other people and form a small chat room to chat using typing or using a headset. Its free and its awesome. Heres a link. hxxp://www.skype.com/

Edit: I think i could make a better setting than Daniels. Not that his is bad but the whole knight and lord and such thing has been done, overdone, and done to death. Something more fantastic and otherworldly would be more intresting. Also i'm not so sure about naming characters in the traditional japanese, its not very creative at least in my opinion and from what i've learned is creating a culture from scratch or at least using references is much more intresting.

I just got an idea about the setting so far. Its coming to me as i type so i'm just gonna throw it out there.

The world (name pending) is a massive, widely unexplored place with countless wonders, dangers, and filled with magic, amazing machines, beautiful spirites, and deadly demons/monsters.

People (the humans in the world) are not so abundant. They share the world with many elves, nekos (half nekos like the classic sort and feral/tribal types, still covered in fur and living in tribes, shamanistic), demon men (and women), faeries, quirky creatures (like Moombas for example), giants, dragons, WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE SO MUCH HAS YET TO BE SEEN!

Think a intresting mix of Chrono cross, final fantasy X, and Breath of Fire IV. This would encorperate a wild, beautiful, natural world with fantastic magic, amazing machines, mysterious spirits, dangerous creatures and well we can't forget......some very very cute lolis!

There will be adults just like in the real world but the age one is seen out and about on their own is far lolier than 18. So it will be very very common seeing very loli people, nekos, and other creatures out on their own. Giving it a very Loli setting.

I COULD GO ON FOREVER! So i'll stop here i've already though of so many intresting ideas lets discuss them!
