Project Proposal: LAH RPG using RMXP.

I've had the idea today to create a full RPG using RPG Maker XP.

I however don't have the talent alone to make it myself, so I am looking for anyone who has artistic skill in creating battlers, charsets, tiles, terrain, and someone skilled in ruby scripting language.

I like to think of myself as pretty good when it comes to ideas and writing (but not drawing), so I'd be happy to help.

I've also had quite a bit of experience when it comes to creating rpgs.

Cool, all positions are needed. lol.

Just hoping I can find some people who are skilled are creating charsets and battlers..

Can you explain those terms?

EDIT: ok, after checking out the site I know what a 'battler' is. But I'm still not sure what you mean by 'charset'.

Battlers are the portraits used inside of battle, Charsets are the avatars used on the world map, in cities.. ect.

They're a set of images.

Tilesets are much the same, except they are the landscape and stuff.

How does one get their hands on such things?

I did a search for the name, then went to the site.

you can find a ...copy of it from any torrent site, or there's a postality knight's version of it.

Is this still going? I've got a few characters already, but I'll need to get some details from you.

I'm willing to help, got some experience with rpmxp. And as a word of advice, if you're gonna have folks doing a project on diffent machines, make sure they are either using the offical version OR postality, as projects between the two are not usually compatible.

sounds interesting. I did some stuff for rm2k/rm2k3 a few years ago but didn't try rmxp. at least the chipsets should be somewhat similar, so maybe it is possible to convert some old created/modified chipsets...

Maybe we should discuss setting and story outline at first?
archaic/classic/modern/future...?

Well, nothing epic, but working on the theory that it would be fantasy based (I got the program and it looked fantasy based) I sketched out three rough characters:

Vincent St'morral
Rogue/thief, extremely good at what he does. So good in fact that he's now bored with being a simple thief of jewellery and money, and has turned his attentions to items of a more personal nature. Always cheerful in the face of failure.

To be met throughout the game, will join party at minimum of halfway

Katrina Abbercromby
Neko girl, adopted and raised by human parents with a bad sense of humor. Enjoys doing somthing with metal/mechanical. Has a very bad attitude when it comes to cat-sterotypes. Lactose intolerant.

Can join at any time.

Sarah Horowitz
Can be in any role or job. Major plot mover since she's fully aware that she's in an RPG and uses this fact to her advantage.
