If anyone else gets the failed to load タイトル.png error, the game doesn't extract the files properly unless you're using japanese language for non-unicode programs in your region settings. Local emulator doesn't seem to fix this. Going to need to update that setting then re-extract.

If your locale isn't set to Japan, then chances are that you when you extracted the archive that filenames got messed up. You will need to re-extract or go through each name that is supposed to be in Japanese and fix it so that it matches what the game expects. To extract the file without messing up filenames, either set your locale to Japan, or use a program that extracts using shift-JIS as the encoding (one such program is sjisunzip), and I think winrar can also using the shift-jis encoding. I recommend the first option because once you set it, you don't have to do anything else to extract or run Japanese games, and outside of sometimes seeing Yen symbols instead of backslashes, everything else works the same way since most programs use unicode encodings now a days. It heavily beats having to use locale emulator and tools like sjisunzip all of the time. Whatever the case, in this situation, there should be a file in that tiles1 folder that has a fucked up file name and the quick and dirty way to fix it is to rename it to what the game expects. Which in this case is タイトル.png. I don't recommend doing it this way since I checked the other image folders and saw there are more Japanese filenames, so those likely also extracted incorrectly too.
