maybe landscapes as i know photos are generally forbidden i took the class so i can get a better job then i currently have

If you want to superimpose your digital art over a landscape, you should be fine. As long as there are no RL humans in it. I think that it is also a special exemption for the "no real things other than anime merchandise" rule. I.e. blending anime with photographic settings is explicitly allowed.
