What in whoever is reading this, is the best way to use this game (ROD).
Now I mean in a general sense... how to run the damn thing.
Because I have it downloaded, I have the guide, I'm ready to go... I was thinking about using a virtual machine and just changing the language of it to japanese chinese so fourth.
Is this a good idea or... should I just do something stupidly simple on my current PC to run it?

Go here. The program will let you run the game without changing any options. Just install, then right click any Japanese language program you want to run. It should be about your second option.

Are you kidding? The gameplay is totally different. There are two more buttons added to the main screen. You can end the game anytime you want. The tricks laid out in the guide don't even work anymore. Worst of all I have to start over since saves don't transfer. I do like the fact that it gives a shitload of more content though. Different hair and skin styles, sex positions, and toys.

its only day 7 and i already bought everything "essential" in your list... the only thing i havent bought is the rotor cuz i cant tell which one is it 
as for the 2nd ver... does the early 6-hit combo work? it makes the game 10000 times easier :p
well DL-ing that when i get home, thanks to Clert of the up and NAmeless for the info

First item in the item shop. It's the thing with an oval vibrator on the end of a cord.
A bit about the second version. All the combos I've tried seem to work just fine, but there are some changes:
-The 'cowgirl' position no longer heals. It still raises every other stat, so It's not entirely useless but I haven't found a way to recover her health.
-The storyline works the same, but the event on day 15 seems to be bugged. When I get up to that point, the game crashes in the middle, making it impossible to complete the true ending (though you can still see it by clicking on the bottom most option in the office.) I'm not sure if this will be true for everyone, and I can't find a way to fix it.
-You can still unlock everything by waiting till her affection is maxed before taking her virginity.
My recomendation: If you want to see the storyline, play through the original. After that, or if you want to just goof off and have fun play the second. The only real difference is that the second has slightly improved graphics and clothes you can dress her up in.

I believe they came out with patches that were suppose to address these problems

The only problem is the files don't exist anymore, so the only way we can get the patches is someone is somehow still have these files uploads them
