April Fools 2013 Reaction thread

Considering that it's only hours away from midnight (in my time zone), I should have seen this coming. I was searching around the web for almost half an hour, trying to figure out what was going on. Crying or Very sad

I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Best April fools joke ever.

I was about to walk away from this site upon seeing that solicitation for purchasing a Gold Account!

I could hear Vegeta from DBZ Abridged in my head as an entire thread was filled with "You need a gold account..." signs.

"NO...."
"NO NO NO..."
"NONONONONONONO, FUUUUUUUUU..."

Clever trick, I have never seen that done before. I've seen forums where a certain group would change their profile pics to something like the "Gold member" things, but I've never seen actually part of the forum's code.

I'll be honest, my first reaction was What the F***!!. Then, I too, started lookin for the announcement.

I too was fooled, looked all over for an announcement, checked the donation rules. Was about to start a nasty flame thread regarding that, but decided to see first the cost of this "GOLD MEMBERSHIP". so glad I clicked the button, completely forgot it was April fools. Good one there though, making even a lurker like myself take the time to type this post out.... >;( Very Happy

I'm pissed. I was looking all over for an announcement, didn't find one. Bunch of goddamn comedians.

I wouldn't be surprised if this backfires on you, with a number of people deciding not to come back.

You guys got me with the gold membership, i was mad so i clicked on it because i wanted to see the lolis, lol, thank goodness this place is still free.

I actually cried when I saw that I would have to pay to view what used to be free here. I only clicked on the link to see how much it was going to cost me, and was relieved when I saw it was only a joke. But I was really hurt by it, and was seriously considering leaving before I discovered that. Please don't do that again? Crying or Very sad

Well, another site I visit often made a similar joke, so when I saw it on LAH, I immediately thought about an april's fool as well, but still quite surprising when you forgot about this day. Razz
