sinni800: I got the second error... What the heck should I do now? Set the non-unicode applications to Japanese? I think that would help.
Just me or I can read some sarcasm in our FUNNYBOT frzangel's lines >_> Never mind that, it made my day. Thanks for helping out users with my posts, buddy.
And yes sinni, setting your non-unicode applications to Japanese SHOULD make it work properly (sorry for not spelling that out originally in my post).
I did change the non-unicode applictions to japanese now.
(Why the hell don't they start doing their programs in Unicode/UTF-8? It's way better...)
Now I have another problem: I can't find that damn umbrella... Nowhere! I am missing the lower left scene on the second page of the scene list... Which is that one.

But I would put that question in this way: "Why the hell don't they start using the latin ABC?" or "Why the hell don't they start speaking english?" (: (Sorry for offtopic.)

Because they don´t make the games with the intention that people outside Japan can play them.
They only makes those game for the Japanese fans, nothing more.

They only makes those game for the Japanese fans, nothing more. That's the sad truth. But I prefer to support frzangel! Force them to make games in English NAO !!

Go to the kitchen area, click in the right side of the kitchen (pic 1), then just click in the small green area in pic 2. There you go. =]

Ahh, what the heck, it was up there all along? I was looking in the top right of the kitchen..
Thanks a lot!

If it's so easy to circumvent (set non-unicode programs to japanese SHIFT-JIS or whatever it is using) why not just make everything Unicode... It's just a little gripe I have as a programmer, nothing else. I keep everything in UTF-8 since... forever.

Sorry to butt in with more off-topic ranting - but there's only two correct ways to program applications for any international or local market under Windows, whatever the intention (most likely the same holds for Mac as well, in my experience targeting multiple codepages or UTF-16 under Linux is a tad harder to learn):
* Ignore the encoding issue, use whatever SBCS or MBCS character set is default for your locale. Such a program will work with applocale by definition.
* Go Unicode, use UTF-16 or UTF-8 encoding (which one is less work more or less depends on your framework - utf8 for most html related environments, -16 for anything else. however, most frameworks require no more than setting a switch). These programs will work worldwide without changing any setting or using a tool. To create a Windows program that fails under applocale but runs under systemwide locale settings requires special effort - e.g. querying the registry for the OEM codepage and either outright bail or derive improper encoding usage from it. Therefore, such a program is buggy.
Summary: It's not laziness, it's spite.
