CSS Help: putting a background color OVER a background image |
Quote |
Basically, I have a background image for my whole website, and on the comments page I wanted to do something different:
hxxp://www.asstr.org/~Otakuman/
What I was wanting to do was keep the background image on that page, but at points where I had comments from readers and my responses, I wanted just a solid block of color (or two).
I tried to mock it up in MS Paint (see below.)
I'm pretty much a HTML/CSS newbie, although I did manage to get most of the site looking the way I wanted it to look.
About all I can figure is I'll either need to somehow make the response sections more important or make them a layer somehow that overrides the whole site background setting, or I'll need to make a 1px by 1px image of the solid background color I want, and tile that just within the response boxes.
If there is a different solution, I'm all ears!
