Art for a story page

Well, what do you guys think?

I am going to try to make a web page at asstr.org for my stories, and since many of them are loli-based, I figured this would be a good image.

I'm a writer, not an artist! Laughing

so don't be too cruel!

Is it fairly obvious what that red thing is?

It's supposed to be a condom, if you can't tell.

I made a background for the page, I'm thinking I'll have the muted background, and still have the big teddy picture at the top of the page.

It tiles really well, except I should have added a line on one side and on the top or bottom, so when the tiles meet you would see a line like between the various pictures..

The teddy bear is the drawing I made, without the panties and condom, I drew the ribbon freehand, the panties were made by drastically editing some clip-art I found, and the heart was just clip-art that I recolored.

Also, I redid the teddy bear pic, someone on Hongfire said the panties looked pretty stiff, and the condom was full of weird color artifacts, so I tried to tweak those a bit.

My webpage is slowly coming along, here is a screenshot of the banner (floating pictures and text, so it will resize if needed on the actual page.) Someone at Hongfire took my original teddy bear pic (without the condom or panties,) and added much better versions of those items in Photoshop. He also gave some shadows to the bear, and it looks a lot better than I did in MS Paint! Laughing

Note: I shrunk the image down to 80% each way, the website will display a bit larger.

Question 1: Does the blue text seem fairly readable on that background? The stories themselves are just going to be on a solid background.

Question 2: I was thinking of putting a second border around the words only, would that make it look too busy?
