Tell me what you think!
The first one took me about an hour to draw out in pencil and a quick pen sketch for the inking... a bit rough in a few places due to a shitty pen but i like the result
Copied off of:

Had to change a few things: face (im not good at faces yet), leg (it looked reaaaly dislocated), and arm (didnt like how the arm just disappeared...)
The Second one was just a quick sketch, I wasn't even going to ink it, i just wanted to play around with the poses because i thought they were pretty interesting...

From a point of view from one that doesn't have art skills, it looks nice.

Hello mshark190,
Welcome aboard! I think that the change that you did on the girl's leg in Art1 was an improvement. I liked your first sketch, the second was not finished so I'll just say that it appears you have a feel for the weight of a line. Shading is good but so is the use of an eraser. Cleaning up the unwanted marks leads to a more polished picture.
Working with Photoshop is cool but it has its own set of problems. You have many more choices than a pencil. Colors and shading and choice of brushes and types of layers - you can spend a lot of time fiddling with them to get the end result to your satisfaction. Where with a pencil - you sketch in black and white and you know what to expect.
I don't know how much you have worked with Photoshop but I will tell you what works for me. Forgive me if you know this already. I sketch out my pictures with Manga studio and have a separate layer where I "ink" in the final lines. Then I export the black and white picture to Photoshop. I touch up and clean the black lines and then add more layers. I add most of my colors on a "multiply" layer so that I can see the black lines through the colors for that anime feel. I have a separate layer for shadows and another set to "normal" for certain colors that I want to go over the black lines (eye highlights, etc.). So it takes a while for me to get a complete picture. Sorry if I bored you but if you see something useful then I have accomplished my purpose. Keep it up!
