Loli visual novel NEED ARTIST! |
Quote |
Hello, everyone! I've been having this idea for a while now, but I finally got the time to realize it. It's a loli visual novel, just like the Japanese ones from DLSite, but (of course) in English. You probably figured by now that it has a medical theme, but that's not the only theme, and it does feature sex as well.
I've got the story pinned down already. The very basics is a science experiment to increase sensuality in loli girls. Will release more details if the project advances!
Unlike the Slave Maker project (for which I required a programmer), I can actually program this game with no problem. In fact, I've already done visual novels in the past, so I can guarantee that I can do it, and it won't take much time, too.
So all I need now is an artist willing to produce a few images for the game. It doesn't matter what the images are (they can be drawn, 3D, etc), they just have to be in color. It also doesn't matter what the skill level of the artist is. As long as it's above pure suckage, it's OK. The only problem is that... well, there is no payment for it, as the game will be released here for free. So if anyone is willing to do that, just draw me a PM!

Okay, I can't draw (yet) but I'm about to start learning. The original artist I had for my work and I had a falling out and the other one is sort of incommunicado, so I have to do it myself. If/when I get some samples ready, I'll be further in touch.
By the way, is this also going to be flash based, or are you using a different platform?

No, I'll be using an engine done specifically for visual novels. It'll be as legit as it gets. It's really not that hard to program, the hardest part (and the core part) are the pictures.

Yeah, same here actually I did a few visual novels before with whatever pictures I could find, and they all turned out quite nicely.

Did a couple myself a long time ago. Not sure if I can even find them now
Raven Hollow's quite possibly the most ambitious piece of work I've ever started. And I mean to go on, just as soon as I get to drawing stuff.
But once it IS done, I'll still be trying out new things. (Estimated Current Demo Complete: 91%)
The Demo I'm working will be quite short, but have a working prototype of most of the important systems.

@Timetraveller
I've started drawing (after a long break of looking for a decent starting out guide book) and it's a lot easier than it looks. But I reiterate: it will take me some time before I have all the needed artwork for what I'm working on. And the art I'll be doing for Raven Hollow is going to be a little more serious style-like (a good example would be kind of like Izumi or Lust from FMA).
If you don't mind waiting a while, I'll try to draw up some Loli you can use. Realistically though, it may be better to ask around.

I thought about this, and I considered it but I just wanna know beofre I go rushing into anything, how many pictures are needed exactly? and how much detail is needed? like you needing backgrounds or just the girl or a mix of both separately blah blah blah. ^-^

If the range is realtively basic (no expression changes, positional changes and so on) then I would assume one maybe two per character.
Expressional switches have a couple of different methods of implementation, so depeneding on TimeTraveller's level of experience, it could be rather a lot of art, or a reasonable amount of original stuff.

Basically, my idea is to have a mix between character sprites and original CG (like most visual novels out there). So, if I have to guess, let's say... 1 character sprite with several emotions, and... about 20-25 pictures? May be less, most likely won't be more.
