TL;DR version: Pack content, post link and info, put password in description, enjoy.
Here's how to post something to our download section:
1. Pack the content using a packer program like 7zip. To increase the longevity of your link, we recommend adding a password.
PROTIP:Try to be creative with your passwords. Make it something relevant and of certain length.
2. Upload your file to an uploader site. There are various sites like Mediafire, MEGA or filehosting. Pick one you like. You are free to upload your file to multiple services.
3. When making your post, please include as much info about your upload as possible. Doing this will ensure that your post will be found when users search for the content. Make sure to use a relevant title for your post, as well. Make sure to use HXXP on links outside LAH.
4. Post the cover, title or screenshots/samples of your upload as an attachment to your post.
5. If your archive has a password, fill it into the "description" field of one of the attached images.
Concerning MEGA: If your file is hosted on MEGA and has no password, you can alternatively post the MEGA sharecode into the "description" field. To download these files, users will have to type in the URL "https://mega.nz/" and then paste the sharecode afterwards like so: "https://mega.nz/#!XXXXXXX"
6. Do not mention the password in your posts outside the designated field under any circumstances. We recommend keeping them on LAH, this is your choice though.
When asked about the password, please point the person to our rules. This ensures the proper working of this site.
7. After finishing your post, set the thread type of your upload.
