 Transformative Angel - Concept Art and Synopsis |

Good morning all!
Wanted to post some art and a synopsis of a story I am working on with another artist. So far our working title is: Transformative Angel - Lost Seraphim. Here's a brief overview of the story with character descriptions:
The story is about Extra Dimensional Aliens who are invading Earth and infiltrating Earth culture with advance hidden agents. These aliens are referred to as Angels and Demons as the old myths of such creatures are based on their race’s previous exploration of our planet. Their race is divided into two castes, one ruling (the Angels) who are exclusively female and processing the ability to utilize focused crystals (celestial gems) to channel great energy. The demons are the outcasts of the Angelic race; both male and female who cannot use the celestial gems but instead are used as menials, slaves and foot soldiers for the Angels.
One of these Angels named Aria is sympathetic to the human race and disguises herself as a doctor working in a ‘free’ / community clinic (Baltimore / Washington D.C. area) in order to test human subjects for suitability in upgrading them as weapons to repel her invading brethren. To this end she has stolen a flawless tri-set of celestial gems fashioned into two bracers and one chest piece known as the Seraphim that has the ability to surpass the powers the Angels currently wield. Aria’s research has shown that humans have the potential to use the Seraphim but they would have to undergo DNA re-sequencing to align them with the Angel’s source of power. In her search for the perfect candidate, she happens upon Jay Del Hutchinson, a ‘down on his luck’ man of about 36 who has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
In his lolier years, Jay D. was a petty criminal who was arrested multiple times for small infractions of the law. This gave him a ‘bad boy’ air which attracted his wife Megan, a rather naïve / caring woman who saw and nurtured his good side, giving birth to a daughter early in their marriage, a marriage which Megan’s wealthy parents greatly disapproved of . Unfortunately for Jay D., his record kept him from securing any permanent jobs and he was ill prepared when tragedy struck, his wife killed by a hit and run driver who was fleeing from the police after robbing a convenience store. Shortly after his wife’s death, Megan’s parents, Robert and Sue Anders, sued for custody of Jay D.’s 11 year old daughter, Sarah and won by convincing the court that the jobless Jay D. was an unsuitable guardian of the child particularly with his prior criminal record. As part of the judgment of the court, he was restricted from seeing his daughter save for holidays and her birthday.
Desperate to hang on to life, Jay D. accepted Aria’s offer of a radical, experimental cure for his cancer, meeting her in the clinic after hours to receive treatment. Unknown to him, Aria is preparing him for modification to be the first human weapon against the Angels, placing him in a re-sequencing chamber to attune him with the Seraphim. To 'cure' his cancer, she sets the chamber to regress his body’s age, though unfamiliar with how human’s age; she sets it to go back 25 years rather than 25 months.
In the meantime, one of Aria’s Angelic superiors (Melphine) has discovered the theft of the Seraphim and has tracked it down to the clinic, getting ready to launch an attack with a task force of Federal agents to arrest Aria on the charge of ‘illegal medical experiments’. Detecting the nearing approach of Melphine, Aria revives the transformed Jay D. who discovers to his horror that he is now an 11 year old girl.
In a rush to shield him from Melphine’s detection, Aria explains that Jay D.’s sex was changed as his DNA was aligned to the Angel’s source of power, which only females can use. Imploring the confused to Jay D. fight to save the Earth, Aria rushes her out the side door of the clinic just as Melphine’s group attacks. Jay D. manages to hide, but witnesses the capture of Aria by Melphine who reveals her true nature in the confrontation. Fearing for her life, Jay D. rushes away from the clinic when she hears Melphine order her agents to seek out and capture the subject Aria was experimenting on having gained access to Jay D.’s records (though not name fortunately as Aria was wise enough to keep the identity of her subject secret) from the medical files in the clinic.
After a night of wandering about aimlessly (though she manages to recover some money from her former bank account), Jay D. comes up with the wild idea to pose as a school girl, hiding in plain sight from her pursuers and (to her mind) hopefully be able to see her daughter at the same school. She goes to an old contact she knows can forge papers to provide her with a new identity and in the process of confronting him when he becomes lecherous with the ‘strange girl’, discovers she has powers. After cowing him with the display of her abilities, she manages to get him to forge the identity of Jade Hutchins and procure her an apartment near the school. After registering there she starts to attend classes, where our adventures start.

Jay Del Hutchinson
He is a Caucasian male, of about 36, lanky with an unkempt mop of black hair, brown eyes and a continual day old unshaven look. He is slightly sallow, indicating poor health, though it is obvious he was once in great shape. He tends to wear second hand clothing that is rumpled and somewhat unwashed.

Jade Hutchins
Jay D.’s new form is that of a slender 11 year old girl with brown eyes and waist length, long black hair. She is fairly attractive and in excellent health, her features giving her a cutely innocent look that belies the mind behind the body. When manifesting her powers as Seraphim, her hair turns a pure white with highlights of azure blue, the length feathering out a bit and arranging in a flow about her body. The gem bracers on her wrist and on the harness between her breasts shine with an argent light, projecting an aura of energy that she can manipulate into various shapes and sizes to include shields, bolts of energy and grasping extremities. She also possesses super human strength and quick regenerative capabilities when in this form.

Jay D.’s daughter, she is blond with pigtails, a rather cheerful girl taking on her mother’s disposition. This is somewhat dampened by the fact that her grandparents are fairly strict, requiring her to meet several goals for her ‘proper upbringing’.

Robert and Sue Anders
A couple in their 60s, they are fairly well off and dress that part. Robert is a heavyset male with grey hair, balding on top with a bushy muttonchop style moustache. Sue is a matronly woman with a severe expression on her face, grey hair and small glasses.

Aria
In her human form, Aria is a woman in her mid 30s, blond with long hair tied up in a bun. She wears wire framed glasses and dresses in the typical doctor’s lab coat and skirt. In her Angel form, Aria is tall, resembling a Valkyrie from Norse mythology with long blond hair and flashing blue eyes.

Melphine
In her human form, Melphine is a dark haired woman with green eyes, though what one would refer to as a ‘babe’. She wears the conservative clothing of a FBI agent, hiding what she is underneath. In her Angel Form, she resembles a watton, cruel succubus, her hair long down her back, her outfit leaving little to the imagination.

Hello Kyoshou,
First of all, thanks for your ambitious beginning! That's quite a complicated intro for your story and you write well. I'm afraid that I do not follow why Aria the Angel would pick a petty thief and unhappy guy like Jay Del as someone to bequeath the mighty Angel Artifacts to.  It's cool that they will cure of him of his cancer but I would have expected Aria to pick someone a bit more like a D +D paladin. It would be more of a twist if she had intended some "good woman" to get them but she loses the Artifacts ... or Jay Del is sneaking by and his dishonest tendency surfaces and he swipes them. (And then he is shocked by turning into a loli girl.) Eh, a random thought.
The Magic item-changes-the-guys-gender is original to me. I see it could make it much easier for the author to project the character of Jade, thinking much more adult thoughts than the children around her. It's too early for me to tell how this twist develops but you have an interesting beginning.
Last but not least, kudos to the artist! They portray emotions well. I like Seraphim's blue and white costume and Sarah's design. The sexy picture of Jade looks like it will fit the bill. (Though why a guy-just-recently-become-a-woman would think to pose as provocatively as that is beyond me...)  Keep it up!

Well, basically Aria had to find someone whose genetics were in the same sequence and bloodline as the original Seraphim, so its not like she could pick and choose as much. Plus Jay Del is a reformed petty thief...and is more focused on improving himself to be able to gain custody of his daughter than anything else at this point.

Thanks...though you could say its an unintentional pose rather than anything else...perhaps a picture snapped by Simon (see bio above). Anyhow, here is one version of the colors as done by a mutual friend. I should have the original artist's colors by this evening...
