My Colorizations and/or Translations

I saw a thread of someone who seems to colorize bits of mangas/doujin so I'm assuming this is the correct forum. If not then go ahead and move it to wherever it belongs.

I'm something of a longtime lurker on lolicon-related forums and for a few months I've been working on doing a high resolution translation/colorization of Democratic Empire 2-based on a translation I found on a pay site called Doujin Magic. I don't think it had been updated in awhile and the links to high resolution unwatermarked scans were all broken, so I found a "raw" version of the doujin and redid the translation from scratch, and added color on top of that. For some of the art pages I also did some shading work as well, otherwise I just used the underlying inking.

I'm releasing this in a few different flavors, so to speak. Mainly-color, black and white, and "clean" color art pages. Then there are high and low resolution versions. I've uploaded the low resolution colized version plus the clean art pages as attachments are here are Megaupload links to the RAR files:

First one's from another Doujin, but I went ahead and stuck it in there to fill one of the pages.

The second one I'm not sure what it is from so I ended up using some Digimon character art as a color reference although after some research it seems it might actually be from Street Fighter (I'm not very familiar with Street Fighter or Digimon lol).

Thanks. It was seeing your thread that encouraged me to hurry up and finish this thing so I could post it somewhere. lol

Here's a little something I'm considering doing for my next project. Fortunately this time it's already translated.

I'm also kinda wanting to try taking some of my favorite untranslated stuff, remove the text myself (including sound effects) and see if anyone's willing to do a translation from there. I'd imagine removing text (particularly sound effects, text bubbles are obviously fairly easy) is the most difficult aspect of a translation project. If you know the language and can translate it, well, I'm sure there are some hurdles to jump through such as interpreting certain cultural aspects and so on but all you have to do from there is insert the translated text-where again I suppose sound effects are a little tricker but I'd take care of that as well-all I'd need is a transcript.

Anyway, if I end up pursuing Cherry Baby, that's what I'll probably be focusing on. I'll try to post it page by page here as I get it colored.

Oh yes, and I should mention one of the "secrets" to my colorization technique-I use a Razor Copperhead precision gaming mouse. lol

This is from a project that I started based on an untranslated work. I'm planning to move forward with Cherry Baby but I did this little frame as a test for creating a "clean" still image from a frame of the comic. I'll upload the different "layers" to demonstrate the process.

Also, one page I'd already colorized and a "cover page" I'd pieced together.

As you can see, I'd also prepped it for a possible translation/rewrite.

As you may be able to tell by now, I'm very fond of Loli x Shota pairings.

Hmm come to think of it... Do you use a new layer above set to overlay?
