Things I'd like to share

I Like the last position I used, but decided to try a different take along with a different shading technique.

I came up with a cute idea while doodling at work today. I ran home and did some full size sketches. Let me know what you think.

I have been working on Alice, but I've been taking a training course this week and have been studying every night. Tomorrows, my last day, but then my in-laws are up for the weekend so it'll probably be next week before I finish.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to finish my Alice. I had an issue with my computer and ended up doing a format so I lost the work I had already done on it. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to it at some point.

In the mean time here's another load of sketches I've been working on. My wife was making a costume for the little girl of a friend of hers and I was a little inspired so I thought I'd try out some various costume designs to see how they would come out.

LOL, nice. And thanks guys.

I'm on to some other non-drawing related projects now, so it might be awhile before you see anything new from me.

My other projects worked out well, so now I'm back to some art. I've resized these, but if anyone wants the full size ones, I'd be more then happy to work something out.

I tried a bit of coloring with a new method for the outline. I'm happy enough with how it came out, but I think I've done better. I was trying to avoid the pain staking task of vectorizing the drawing to create the line art. Instead I tried shrinking the image to 15% then selected the white area and created the path from that in GIMP. Then I blew the path back up to the original size.

Mixed results. Much faster then placing each point one at a time, but as a result the outline isn't very clean, it's too think and looks wobbly.

I wasn't expecting to finish this one tonight.

I wanted to do something as kind of a tribute to Japan. The country that gave us one of the best animation styles.

I probably should have gone to be hours ago, but here's one I've been working on all evening.
