That would seem to be an onboard graphics chip, and those rarely support anything beyond sending a desktop image on the monitor (sadly). A card from GeForce 4 family or later (NOT GeForce 4MX) or Ati Radeon 9000 and up should support shader model 2. Cheapest ones, especially if you're not picky and can settle for a used one, should range around 20 euros or even less.

some links removed? i found a torrent that stays at 0kb for 5min and jumps to 128kb i will upload it later today. are the rapidshare links ok? the torrent takes about 3 hours. i reccomend using frostwire as the client. it cand download the data from over 20 hosts

Wait, Elec, don't listen to him. I know for a fact that not all Radeon 9000 and up have pixel shader 2.0. The cheapest Radeon chip that contains it would be the one I have. The 9800.

hey elec, before doing anything i suggest asking a professional. last thing you need is to buy a new graphics card and not have it...work. also, since you have intel, intel's website may help, i my self have intel 945 GMA series with direct X 10.

I said should, for a reason.. And 9500/9700 have sm2 as well, seeing as I've had both and used them for games that require it.
To be honest, I haven't really kept up with the hardware stuff in years, but any card that's a directx9 card (not a "supports dx9") has shader model 2, with both pixel and vertex shader 2. A quick google should list the real dx9 cards easily enough, and is advisable prior to purchase anyway, since the packaging tends to be misleading on purpose.

no prob. if i cant find new download link for them then the torrent is my backup plan. hey elec! not all dx9 cards have pixel shader. make sure it at least has dx9.0c my pc may have dx10 but it has a backwards compadable dx9.0c mode which is highest for xp. good luck dude.
