 Clearing unread messages |

Can you add a "Clear all unread messages" button to the view unread messages search that will wipe all unread flags? There's a backlog of unreads that I will never read.

Then, as I just looked into the board page itself (not only the topics as I do usually), try the 'Mark all topics read' button just under the upper page counter.
BTW where do you get the 'View unread posts' button from then? They are on the same page (or is there one I haven't found yet?)

Exactly why I wanted to know where that function was; I figure the database would be happier if I weren't returning 300 hits every time I checked the forum.
Of course, I still get that many from egosearch, either way.

Yes, and what you need now is the bottom of it. Just scroll down and look for the 'Mark all Forums read' just above the 'Who is online'-lists.

Guess that depends on how you read the board. As I usually look through the different boards in their own window while gradually getting down to that button it nearly jumps on me while I tend to overlook these buttons in the upper right (topics start on the left so why should I pay attention to the right?)
But it is kinda crammed between the other stuff.
