I've been meaning to put up some information about a game I've been developing. I was going to wait until I updated the information, but I've been so busy making the game, I haven't had time to do it. The information is a little out of date, but I'm going to try to update it slowly. It was just me for a long time, then I got a programmer. Now I have a six person team (including myself). Things are going well, and I'm hoping for a first release before the end of spring, but that depends on a lot of different factors.

(You might have to sign up to see that too, and it isn't worth it if you're looking for loli games because mine would be the first.)

I have all the help I need in the writing and programming department, and I have a cartographer working on the maps that will be in the game. I can easily handle all of the GUI art (and actully prefer it that way). So unless you are a very good artist with the time to dedicate to a huge project (one can hope) I don't really need any help with the game development at this point. I am, however, always interested in ideas and opinions. I take criticism very, very well (in fact I thrive on it) so don't hold back.

The game is going to be released under a GPL license so all of the material will be free to use to make anything anyone wants as long as it too is released under a GPL, and therefore could be a good source for material to make other games. (Yes, I know that "GPL license" is redundant, but if people don't know what a GPL is then it gives them some context).

This is only one of dozens of game concepts that I have, almost all of which will include loli content. I fully intend to be making games until the day I die (most likely of lung cancer). So hopefully you'll be seeing a lot of games under the name Elerneron.

GPL is a bit restrictive in my opinion. GPL is a viral license: if an application reuses a piece of software/resource which is licensed under GPL, then the the whole application must be released under GPL. A software licensed under GPL must have its source code made available. With these restrictions in mind, GPL is not an ideal license if you want to provide free resources to be re-used in proprietary software.

I usually go with the MIT license for open source stuff. The WTFPL is a nice license too.

The reason I chose a GPL is to stop any material from being used in a commercial product. If I'm not getting paid for my art someone else sure as hell isn't going to get paid for it. I believe in free software, and the free software paradigm. Also a GPL doesn't stop a user from asking for donations (something I am not doing, but may in the future if people think my games are worth donating).

Oh I see, you chose it intentionally for that then. I just commented because many open source developers jump directly into the GPL, but I see that you already did enough research.

Back on-topic, looks like the game will be really huge to contain all the fetishes you've listed. The character class/perk thing looks pretty well detailed too. Powers, events and pregnancy also give an idea of the game's depth. By the way, does your team have deadlines or is that more of a free time thing? It looks like a small team would take many months (or even years) to get all that done.

Well it's pretty much a free time project, but I have a lot of free time. My programmer has been working on it pretty much every day (except over the holidays) so he seems to have a lot of free time as well. Much of the game is already coded as a matter of fact. The other members of my team (1 cartographer and 3 writers) are pretty recent additions to the team, so we'll see how quickly they can produce content.

We used Ren'Py as a platform, though it has been heavily modified with Python code. We are trying to make the game very mod friendly. The hope is that content will be added by a lot of different people throughout the game's existence. I have a lot of ideas for the game myself, but having it as open as possible for modders means that I can enjoy the game myself. (Also we have a robust content filter in place so that you will be spared any content that you don't want to see . . . as long as the modder tags the content properly.)

It seems that at the lightning rate the game is being coded the main factors that will extend the time it takes will be the writing and character art. I've just started the character art recently, as I was hopeful to find a figure artist for the team that was at least as good as me, and had the time to dedicate to such a large project. Barring that I was hoping to get a tablet to help me draw the art, but alas I will be doing so with my trackball.

We are planning to release the game as soon as it is even remotely playable, and add features and content until the features are done, then content until . . . well I guess until we can't take it anymore.

Not just text. It will have the look of a visual novel, but all of the character sprites are going to be composites of thousands of different body parts and clothing items, so when you change a character (as transformation is a major theme of the game) you will see those changes. But I am assuming you were referring to our design methods . . . I can own that.
