Nice work on the addition of the tree tops there. I'm thinking you're not a beginner artist with this sort of skill displayed in just this one pic.
Also think the image looks pretty good darkened up like this as well. Some of the sading details stand out better.
Did you do this with just pencils, or did you use a program like Opencanvas or Painter? I'm wanting to say it was pencils, but I've pulled off and seen other artists pull off convincing pencil work with those programs before.

Thanks.
I only used a 0.7mm mechanical lead pencil to draw this sketch.

Sometimes that's all it takes. Everyone has their preferred tool. When I was in high school my favorite was using a ballpoint pen on photorealistic stuff to build up the textures on things like bird feathers, fur and hair. lol

Blue is sometimes hard for scanners to pic up. There's a particular shade called non-photo blue that's used as an old animator's/comic artist's trick for scanning/photocopying that is missed by most old scanners/photocopiers and many newer scanners if the settings are right for it. There are certain yellows and reds that can also be skipped with settings tweaks on more recent scanners as well. It has to deal with the light spectrum and what the machines can pick up on the reflection. Sometimes within an art program you can also throw out an entire color channel and only lose that one color too.
Non-photo RGB 164, 221, 237
Non-photo HEX #A4DDED
