need help with anidb

well there were a post for it i think but i didnt understand a thing tried everything on the site but couldnt download anything. anyone can explain to this newbie how to use the site Very Happy

AniDB isn't a download site.

It's just an information database.
However, many of the titles listed on AniDB have a list of groups that have translated/released that series. Sometimes, links are provided, or you can find that groups webpage by looking around (there is a groups list I believe), or you can simply search for that group's name on your favorite torrent site and hope to get lucky.

yup exactly as annie said, the download links in the anidb are for emule, and when you click on a fansub it gives you the website and/or mirc channel and server.

Okay, I'll explain this once again, for the last time, I hope.
Let's take Daa Daa Daa as example (because my soul belongs to J.C.Staff lol).
If you use emule, you click on BUTTON 1, THE GREEN ONE. This expands info on all episodes. Then, you select the versions you'd prefer by looking at all those columns. You can also see additional info about those different icons by hovering mouse over them. When you chose what you want, you press on RED BUTTON TWO. Voila, it's downloading!

If you don't use emule, you look at that YELLOW CIPHER THREE. There you see some info about groups who subbed it. Basing on what you see, you select which one you prefer and click on it's name. On the group's page you'll usually see group's site and/or group's irc channel. On the site you often can find group's personal tracker with their torrents. In the irc channel you often can find xdcc bots and/or other useful info.

On the last note, if you're using emule and want to continuously download something from it, it's important to be on the queue of at least 500 users.

Ah, and almost forgot. There are also sites like isohunt.com, you know.. Rolling Eyes
