Welcome to LAH, RogueScout, or Rogue, or Scout - whichever you prefer! We've been around for a long time - 14 years in this version, like it says at the top of the page. There are a lot of options to choose from while you're here.
For your basic orientation, be sure of read the "Rules and FAQ". It covers the rules by which the site is run. Some of the individual sections have additional rules. Those will always be in sticky posts or threads at the top of each page of topics in that section.
If you have questions about the site other than what's covered there - or about the hobby in general - feel free to post in this thread or in the appropriate "Discussions" thread or in the other four Miscellaneous forums listed at the bottom of the main page. We're here to spread the loli word!
Japanese is extremely useful - it's not an absolute requirement. We have translated materials here, too. If you want the original stuff, however, you will need to know Japanese or be skilled with a translation program.
Whatever catches your fancy, remember - above all, have fun!
