That's ok. I wasn't really expecting you to do it, since I knew how difficult adding so much would be, but I figured I'd at least suggest it. Although I was a bit surprised when it said "enter your name", so I did, and then was like "wait... I'm playing a guy? With my name? Laughing Although once I was aware of that fact (I had originally assumed the character would be genderless), I retried it with a male name, and enjoyed it more.

Trying to be more clear regarding gender specific.

The demo was a bit peculiar in its narrative as it was mostly Feather giving a tour. Reason why she would often refer at the protagonist using "he", "him" and so on.

For the actual game, the narrative uses the protagonist point of view and Feather will talk to you directly. Which mean that she usually refer to you using your name or "you". Also, the narrative being in first person, it uses "I" and the like instead of "he". This should lessen the feeling that she's talking to a guy, mostly.

Still, the sex related scenes would still require too much work to make a gender option right now. And making the protagonist genderless, considering the purpose of the game is to have sex with Feather, it's not really an option. So yeah, try to think of the protagonist being a futa if you want. Razz

Oh, and having a few more tester would really be nice. So far, only one offered to help. And though he's being a big help with spellchecking, the next update will have more content to check, with quite a bit of branching and sub-branching depending on stats, randomness and stuff, so more help wouldn't hurt. Feather Kawaii 3;

I know testing and spellchecking can be tedious (and I really know that as I worked in that field once or twice), but it's a necessity so you can get a game that won't make your eyes bleed too much with gross mistake (not english here) and getting rid of most bugs (though the most annoying seems to be fixed for now). Well, alpha releases might serve that purpose, but let's just say that actual testers have access to some tools that won't be there for public releases, allowing them to check events at will and more easily. Razz Don't need a whole army of testers (unless I want to conquer the woooooooorld ! *ahem*), but one or two more would be quite helpful.

One option you could use would be to hire 'gender writers' to re-write portions of the script to reflect a different options. Admittedly, this might slow things down since you'd have to check it to make sure it's good enough, but it's an idea.

I could, but it would still take too much time than it's worth, especially since I would still need to make CG for those as well. And sure, I could ask other artists to help for that too, but I'd rather not.

One thing I want to avoid because I don't really like it on other game is too much differences among the graphics. I may not be the best artist out there, I'll still have an overall graphic identity that other might not have, as they'll have their own. And having consistency in the game's graphic identity is one thing I'm attached to. Too much differences tend to disturb me when playing a game. :p

Hi. Reporting progress here.

Well, lack of progress, more like it. Thanks to having one more tester (which is great !), found out that the current game engine was way too heavy on the cpu and that things would only be worse when I pile up even more content inside (which is not so great, but better knowing this now that way later).

Had to adjust the game engine so it would run more smoothly. Postponed adding content for now while the new engine is being tested. Once I have feedback indicating that the engine is good to go, will resume putting in more events.

Well, gives me a bit more time to work on the writing, I guess. Feather Kawaii 3;

Hopefully, things will go back on track soon enough.

Alright, testers feedback seems to indicate that the new engine works fine and with far less cpu load. Had to work out a few bugs here and there, but I'll start adding content again.

Still no set date for a first alpha release. I'd like to deliver before the end of summer so will do my best in that regard, but I'd rather not rush things so you can have a nice first playthrough with decent content, both regarding amount and quality. Smile

I'd be happy to test the game for anything you would like, as long as I was given a recently updated version of the game. I can't very well test for whatever you need on an outdated version, just be restating what others say. That is if you still need testers.

I don't really do anything so I'm optimal for such a thing.

My computer kind of sucks too so if the game is too powerful, I'll know.

The current demo version is rather short and I noticed several errors in the writing that I don't want to bother mentioning as I'm sure they've been pointed out. Don't want to step on toes...

Eh, wasn't reported, but then again, who read disclaimers anyway. XD Will fix it, thanks.

The demo is just there to get a little taste of the game and serve as a milestone between the prototype and the alpha. Many things changed since then and the text was made only for the demo, so yeah, no point in reporting those mistakes as those dialogs and narratives won't be there any longer in the actual game. :p

I totally deserved that. Sorry I'm misunderstood a lot so I've learned to be overly clear, sometimes painfully so, at all times. It certainly isn't meant to insinuate that you don't have the intelligence to know what I meant, which is what it probably looks like.

Hey folks.

I've been quite busy this last month, so didn't manage to put much work in this, unfortunately, but I don't forget it and hopefully, I'll be able to pick up the pace soon. Couldn't make a release before the end of summer, but I didn't want to rush things and half-ass the game just to meet a date.

In any case, the game itself is shaping up nicely, the new engine didn't mess things up, all things considered and all in all, the only issue there is that I couldn't find much time lately. I'm mostly posting so you know that this project is still alive. Razz

I feel that since I haven't actually sent in a progress report, I should state that I'm not abandoning my testing. I have just been very busy out of nowhere. I blame big "meanies!" As such, I do wish to apologize greatly to you Luna. I know I'm not the only beta tester and therefore you aren't exactly counting on my part, but it does feel like I'm failing you.

So if anything out of pure courtesy. I'm sorry Luna.
