I really really like the last one. It's very accurate anatomically down to the small details. Plus, the interaction b'ween the girl and the guy is priceless.
I got a question though. Is that the artstyle you are aiming at or do you plan on making your line more slicker? Have you ever thought of slicking up your line work and making it more slick, giving it more suave? Look for example at the line art of Jean Giraud, A.K.A moebius, the famous French artist who was the most popular in Heavy Metal magazine.

Your last one is so sweet and precious, very special. I hope we see more of that princess and her "friend".

Yes you will most definitely be seeing more of these two so I'm glad you like it.
Jean Giraud, I've been recommended to look at his work a couple times and I do! The C0llect0r also recommended Liberator, its fantastic and good timing because I've just started venturing into pastels. It's all very new to me so my studies are more or less comical (like the caricature below) but already working out an idea for my first "saucy" pic in pastel.

First pastel on A3. I know there's room for improvement so critique is very welcome. btw, the scanner brought out a lot more of the papers texture than i wanted it to but anyway, enjoy.

Oh yeah, goooood stuff. Excellent body structure, movement, overall design. I don't see anything wrong with it. Personally, she is a bit too plain for me, I'd have dressed her in a totally slutty black fishnet stockings and garters outfit (no panties though) with long fishnet type gloves on her hands and with high heels shoes but this is fine too. That's what I get for looking at cybergoth/Suicide Girls all the time lately. Don't mind me.

thanks,
I struggled quite a bit with this one and think it shows. Well, at least I got to do some more color experimentation. ( The black overpowered everything else though...not to mention bad anatomy)

Frankly speaking, I liked the other sketch of this same situation you posted on that other web site, it was MUCH MUCH better IMO. I couldn't see any mistakes there, while here I think the girl's body is way too long here.
And as you said, the black pants are way too strong and take over. Maybe they could be made into faded out blue jeans, that way you dont have to worry about correctly drawing te legs. The rest is good tho. More emphases on the butt shoulda been!

tricks 'n' tips |

Well, one trick I employ is to not to everything at once and to give myself waiting period between working on a drawing. This means to do the initial sketch then put the sketch on the side and NOT LOOK AT it for at least a week, meanwhile working on something else. So when I come back to the sketch I can look at it with totally fresh eyes and the big gross mistakes in the anatomy can immediately pop out at me. So I rework the drawing fixing the mistakes and leave it aside again for another week. I come back later and do another variant of necessary.I know this means a drawing has to sit around for like a month but that has it has to be with me because I cannot see mistakes when the drawings are "fresh".

Hoo, very nice indeedy. Almost like the Renaissance artists, Rafaelian... So looking at the Liberatore artist help huh? Nice shading man. Now make the hair flowing and you've got a god one there. See how the eyes you make now are 1000% better than the eyes you were drawing when you began?
