UPDATE: Beat it with 14K credits left.
Went through the game once; was at bra when I got to 0 credits. I reset it using the lower left button. Put it on auto, win. So I assume you're chances go up as you spend credits, including previous games.

Your patience and endurance is admirable, I couldn't be buggered to slog through the game over and over so I've moved on to other material instead.
