 New translated version of Polygon Love 2 w/ Okawari 2 patch |

I wanted to make a new thread, since this is a much newer version of the game, complete with a full story-mode translation from a group at Hongfire - I was the editor on the project. This is reposted with permission from chacyung at Hongfire.
Take a look at chacyung's signature in the latest posts at Hongfire to find modding tools, unofficial mods, other versions (including 3 player loli), and more.

This version DOES include loli-mode - read the text/bat file on how to activate it, or delete it entirely. A note on translation. While the entire story mode and non-loli freeplay modes are translated, the translator was uneasy with working on the unofficial "loli-mode." As such, it is still in Japanese. However, I'm pretty sure the dialogue was just "copy n' pasted" from the regular freeplay mode, if anyone here cares to translate it or write new dialogue that fits with the animations, feel free, and I'll help you extract/replace it in the game, if needed.
These 3 files include all official patches and updates from the Purple Heart website (as of this date.)

Extracting the first file will not automatically extract both files, you will need to manually extract the second file to the same folder as the first.

I think these will need to have the individual zips extracted as well. Passwords for the zips should be the same as the main files.

now that you mention it, I tried to get loli mode to work for 2 days and failed each attempt. I assume I'm doing something wrong, but damn if I can put my finger on what that might be. Think I might delete all of it and start over and see if that helps...

For anybody having trouble, here's how I did it:
1) Download both part and part 2. The update is not necessary for the main game to work.
2) Extract the part 1 folder, then part 2. Go inside Part 2 and select every folder and file. Move them to the Part 1 folder. You can now delete Part 2. OR: Make an entirely new folder and copy the files of both Part 1 and Part 2 into it. This ensures that you have a backup of the folder structure in case you do anything wrong.
3) The game should now be playable. Run the *.exe to see.
Activating loli mode:
4) As the readme will tell you, all you need to do is copy a few files. Enter the "addon" folder, then the folder called "2nd". Mark all the files within and choose "copy". Go one step back, to the "addon" folder again. Paste. Loli mode should now be available.

For those interested, if you check the thread at Hongfire, there have been a few mods and new versions, such as the Russian Fusion version - this takes the complete translated game that I posted here, and combines it with the Russian version that had a ton of mods not found in other versions, so you get the Russian version (and more), combined with the English translation, etc.
Also, there are a few people working on an Open Source version of Polygon Love 2, once they've got it ironed out, presumably you could bring models from other games or 3-D programs into the Open PL2 game.
Remember, the first part of that thread is several years old and hasn't been updated, to find the new stuff look in chacyung's signature (in spoilers), as of this post his most recent message is on page 310.

Basically - dialogue between you and your sister, pick her look and hairstyle, more dialogue, go shopping and buy an outfit, more dialogue, make a couple of branching choices on the train (picks a location for sex), have sex in various positions, see the credits.

That means that your operating system doesn't like the game because it thinks it's an application that's too old.
I got that ALOT with my XPpro that didn't like Win98 programs.
(ever tried the original "Tomb Raider for PC" game on a newer computer ??? DON'T ...
...it'll crash the video card drivers without a virtual pc program running MSDOS to run it in)
Luckily in your case, all you have to do is right-click the EXE(or shortcut) and select "Win 98 compatability mode"
That'll get it running... and as an added bonus, doing that will allow you to access the special "game options" box that ONLY pops up when you use that mode.
