You can check with the forums at DSLREPORTS where people have tried all sorts of things not just with DSL, but with broadband in general. Most cellphone CONTRACTS have fine print that make torrenting useless such as 2GB data limit per month before speeds are capped (one company's current 'unlimited calling' plan). So yes, it may be unlimited calling, but the data rate will be 56Kbit after your data limit is reached. I suggest you look over your cellphone contract to see if there is a "reasonable usage" clause there. What the salesman tells you may be different from the fine print; the salesman gets a commission for selling plans, not for convincing you that the plan is no good for data.
And if you are considering a method in between a broadband wired service and a cellphone wireless service, there is just ClearWire. However, ClearWire has a "reasonable user" fine print clause which limits you to what the average typical user uses per month (plus a little bit of leeway). At that point, ClearWire may cap your rate or terminate your contract FOR CAUSE which means that you have to buy out the rest of the contract AND not get the service. It used to be such types of contracts were not legal, but the laws were changed during the Bush administration to be business friendly. Unfortunately, business-friendly and consumer-friendly are usually opposite of each other.
