Okay, the general purpose of this thread is for noobs, like me who don't have the benefits of using line vectoring or photoshop software to get help from the LAH artists. Post pics or ask questions to get general advice.

I originally requested for a online tutorial that teaches people how to draw hentai but SAT suggested i get help from the LAH artists. Feather-chan Annoyed 2

Anyway. Here is a pic of my suckiness.

Well for starters, line vectoring or photoshop software are tools that you use down the road. They are not needed when you start.

#1) Do not refer to your work as "My suckiness" aside from demeaning yourself it discourages people from assisting.

#2) In this case, your sketches are at about the same step every notable artist out there starts with each time. You are on the right track here

#3) When you are satisfied that the "proportions" are right (Use pictures, tv, statues, other artist's work to gauge) use a black ink pen to retrace your lines with as heavy and clean a line that you can

#4) A handy tool to make is a light box (wooden frame, glass plate and a light in the box) This will let you take your drawing from step #3 and retrace it with even cleaner thin lines by tracing the rough copy. This also allows you to avoid the smudges created by pencil and sketching.

#5) From there you can color it or scan it and "photoshop it"

As for your drawings, I have made far worse rough sketches in my life than that so don't be so hard on yourself Feather Kawaii 2 sketches are after all ideas that change into something else Feather Kawaii 2

Kouhei's right on most accounts. Really, you don't need photoshop at all, though it is helpful. A good piece of advice is to make sure you have solid lines rather than sketchy ones. The best piece of advice is to keep trying, otherwise you'll never get better!

This is a good idea for a thread. Newbie artists shouldn't be afraid to seek advice!

Of course that means you draw with a graphite pencil.
I cannot even draw a square with a pencil...

For some reasons, it seems to work with a filler pen, but of course you cannot really erase it, unless with an ink killer.

Anyways...

So you draw a rough sketch like that one with a pencil,
then you take an ink pen and make clean, thick lines over the drawing.

Next you simply take a rubber and rubber the pencil underneath away.

Im by no means an artist, but I though it might help.

I find it useful to start a drawing with a blue pencil (or an HB if you're on a budget) and to lightly sketch out a basic gesture paying attention to perspective and the siluette before I go ahead and add detail or form (musclecature) to a drawing, also, be really careful about inking over your original pencils as erasing over ink is just asking for trouble, try to trace onto a new sheet in light pencil before inking (and use a block to rest your arm on to avoid smudging).

And some miscelanious stuff.

draw two guidelines, one is the gesture line which should be a single curve to guide any motion, the second is a straight line up from the center of weight (say, the foot they're favouring). A useful guide is that a balanced person will have their neck directly above their wieght.

Symetry is bad, a perfectly symetrical pose looks dead.

A reclining character will usually have their wieght on one or both thier arms, this brings the shoulders up, otherwise they should have no definition in thier shoulders (it just curves out and down off the neck.)

Curves are your friend in hentai, straight lines never look right on a naked person.

Other than that, keep drawing and if at all posible sign up for some life drawing classes, I'm firmly of the school that if you can draw realistically, you can draw any way you like.

(And that's totally off subject, isn't it?)

Sparkster:

Sparkster's right about the usefulness of a nonphoto blue pencil, a color that a scanner or photocopier doesn't reproduce. However, I never use anything but cheap .7mm mechanical pencils (that come in bags of 5 - 20 apiece), experiment until you find a system that works for you. Experiment, and don't let dificulty dissuade you, but don't feel you HAVE to do anything the way someone else recommends.

F-chan annoy 2 she's not a character I recognize from any series...and the way Sparkster is posting would lead me to believe He/She is an artist. In a LAH Artist forum, I would expect that most people would use their own work for their Avatar. I didn't think it was such a strange question, but then I do not recognize his/her avatar...

I wish I had sooner Feather Kawaii 2 You have an amazing shading style and a fluidity to your drawing I only wish I had. To make some of my pieces it takes for ever, in some instances almost a month. Admittedly I am getting faster, but you have some extremely impressive skills. You should really seriously think about going pro because you definitely have style Feather Kawaii 2

Well at least Amilee can know that I think she is one of the cutest designs I have seen Feather Kawaii 2 (very original, I thought I had seen every variation of a cat girl, but she has some distinct features that I like )

I certainly hope you continue your thread. I would love to see even more of your work.
