I've tried running it with the stand alone projector included which is 10.3 if I'm not mistaken and also tried internet explorer, that's what the "read me" recommends I think, also tried stand alone projector version 8 and 11 as well as firefox 9 but nothing, thanks for the advice anyway, If it helps the only thing I've installed on this machine that I think not all people do is install the directx runtime update june 2010 but I don't think it's related and also installed k-lite codec pack which I rarely use...

And also I think Ika musume is considered loli, that's the reason I posted the game here, Greetings...

As requested, I'm taking a look at this file.

That's weird, even though the Japanese characters appear messed up in my Firefox/Chrome, it loads up the flash files in Chrome/Firefox/IE without any problem..

Upon a closer analysis, only the 4 initial html files are missing the meta tag, all the HTML files containing embedded flash files are w3c validated.

It means that the HTML files shouldn't be the issue, anyway I've attached a .rar file with the fixed start.html, reco.html, omake.html and manual.html so you can extract it in your game's root directory overwriting the original files (you may backup those first), with these patched files it'll display the Japanese characters correctly in the opening, manual etc pages in any browser of your choice, but it most likely won't affect the status of your flash files running or not.

So, as the HTML files aren't the problem, I took a look at the .swf (Flash) files.. They're running fine on both browser and stand-alone applications for me, so I didn't see the need to decompress them.

I'd say it's something relative to your computer, try to answer this checklist:

1. Do you have the (preferably latest) Flash player plugin installed for your browser? If not (or unsure), get it from the Adobe site, this page will automatically identify which is the right plugin for your browser and Operating System's version.

2. Do you have your system locale/language for non-unicode programs set to Japanese and East-Asia language pack installed? If not, check out the next spoiler.

1. click 'Start'
2. click 'Control Panel'
3. click 'Clock, Language, and Region'
4. click 'Region and Language'
5. click 'Administrative' tab
6. click 'Change system locale...' under 'Language for non uni-code applications'
7. If a dialog box (User Account Control) appears to ask your permission to continue, Click 'Continue'
8. click 'Japanese (Japan)' on drop-down list
9. click 'OK'
10. click 'Restart now'. System locale has been changed. You must restart Windows for the changes to take effect.

If Japanese was not in the drop-down list:

* click 'Start' then 'Control Panel'
* click 'Check for Updates'
* click 'View Available Updates'
* find 'Japanese Language Pack' and install.

3. Do you have trouble running other Flash files? If you're unsure, test with something simple, let's say, try to watch a Youtube video, if you can watch it then your Flash plugin installation should be fine.

4. Do you usually have problems running other Japanese games? Again, this relates to East-Asian languages pack + system locale (question 2).

Well, sorry for the extremely basic questions, but they're needed. Razz

Next, if you didn't find any problem so far, try opening the start.html with your Internet Explorer, then click in one of the girls' pics. Once the page loads, click in the "Allow blocked content" button at the bottom of the screen. That should do it if you have the flash player installed for Internet Explorer (if you don't, click here while browsing with Internet Explorer).

If, still, you can't get it to work, you may try with Google Chrome. Chrome has a new technology which allows users to experience flash objects/movies/games even without the Flash player plugin installed! (yeah, it looks like some kind of witchery! And Chrome runs .swf files w/o flash player installed even on Linux for whom it may concern)

For Firefox, you'd need to download the Adobe Flash player again (it's a different plugin for IE and other browsers). You could try it, but if even IE and Chrome didn't work then Firefox might be a shot in the dark..

Anyway, if you downloaded the attached file and replaced the original files in your folder, updated your Flash player plugin for IE and Firefox and tried with Google Chrome AND the game still doesn't run, then:

1. You may have an anti-virus blocking access to .swf files from your local hard drives, try deactivating any anti-virus software you may have;
2. You may have a browser plugin which blocks swf objects completely, say, NoScript and ad blocking addons/plugins may block your swf file, deactivate all unnecessary plugins.

I could think of more possibilities, but it's a little late for me atm and well, try out all of this and if you don't succeed answer the questions in this post to the best you can and I'll take a second look. Wink

thanks for the reply man sadly the patched files didn't help here the info you requested

1. My flash is version 11.2.202.228 Up to date

2. My windows has the japanese locale and I'm able to run every game that require to change locales if applocale isn't enough, games like vangard princess an other hentai games

3. As far as having trouble running other flash content, yes some swf files give me trouble but mostly old ones like this one: hxxp://danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/766096/-d-_-animal_ears-arms_up-bat_wings-bespectacled-bl the animation won't even load I right click on the place there should be something going on but all it appears is a box with my flash version and the "movie could not be loaded" ( might be different in english as my OS is in spanish by the way ) what I do to play those files is save them and play them with macromedia flash player 8.0 r22 an old projector since version 11 from adobe won't play them either in fact it opens the projector and inmediatly shuts down, the game comes with it's own projector which is version 10 and the manual recommends to use it instead of the html files or at least that's what I can get out of the google translation but the result is the same as version 8 white nothingness. The flash plugins I use were downloaded separately one for firefox and the one with activex for IE.

4. My antivirus software is currently avast 7 but it is disabled and I only use it as on demand scanner since the real time protection makes my pc run like crap, I previously used avira but there is no difference in what software I can run.

5. Firefox is version 11 and the games displays the japanese characters correctly and so does IE, como aditional info on my system:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Spanish
Firefox 11
*noscript ( disabling it doesn't help )
*adblock ( disabling it doesn't help )
*save image to folder
*flashgot
*tabmix plus
*text link
*image zoom
Flash 11.2
Avast 7 - - Disabled
Media Player Classic Homecinema 1.6.1.4193
K-lite Mega codec pack 8.6
Xnview 1.98.5
Flash projectors 8 -- 10 -- 11 ( none installed just sitting on my HD and file associated )
Daemon tools 4.45
Java6u31
ccleaner
malwarebytes
superantispyware

I don't know if anything else might have something to do with this issue but that's all I could think can cause some conflict, I also change locale and extracted the game that way and no results, again thanks for the help and sorry If my english suck, greetings from mexico...

I can understand your English perfectly, no worries about that. Smile

Now that's strange, I also use Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits with Flash 11.2, the only difference is that I don't have any adblock/NoScript/Anti-virus software installed (I don't trust them, they usually F up my OS more than viruses Laughing), also I personally don't like malwarebytes and never heard of superantispyware, but if you have all of them disabled it shouldn't be a problem. Now let's take a look at the problem.

The "movie not loaded" error is the most generic and annoying flash-related error, so it's usually a little tricky to solve.. However, most of the time, it happens because the browser can't find the requested Flash file, thus it fails to load.

Now, if you have your system locale set to Japanese and up-to-date flash player plugin, IE/FF/Chrome shouldn't have any problem finding these files as long as no other plugin/anti-virus/anti-spyware/adblock/NoSCript blocks it.. Let's try one more quick checklist with other possible causes for "Movie not loaded error" then.

1. Move (or copy) your NP03_TaXru folder to the root of one of your hard drivers (move/copy it to "C:\"), then open the start.html file with either of your browsers and check if it works now;
Explanation:
1. This error isn't very common in Windows 7 but it may happen, when your file is buried too deep in the HD (file path is too long/has too many characters), your Flash player plugin may not find the requested file due to the path variable being overflowed (which is a fatal error in the flash application and forces the abortion of the load operation), returning a Movie not loaded error.

2. Did you try with Google Chrome yet? I usually don't suggest people to download software(s), but Chrome comes with a built-in Flash plugin and is pretty good for running Flash applications. Try it after moving the folder to your C:\ Smile.

If these 2 alternatives still don't make your game run, tell me if you noticed any change/progress, I'll review it and I'd also offer instant-messaging help if needed, that would probably solve your problem much faster as well as not taking forum-board space.

Best of luck, I'll be waiting for the results so far. Wink

Well google chrome didn't help either, one thing I forgot, media player classic home cinema requires to install directx runtime update june 2010 which I always intall right after windows, maybe that screwed up something, but no change so far, originaly the game forlder was one level below root, on my secondary hard disk, meaning it was inside just one more folder, moved it to root and nothing new, I'm thinking on triying a linux mint 9 live cd I somewhere I think that version still included flash on the cd, who knows, in any case what metod should I choose to chat with you, I seldom use instant messaging, the only thing I have installed is good old live messenger...

Good ol' Live Messenger will do, I'm usually available at ult_combo@hotmail.com - however, as my MSN often doesn't show up invites, you might send me yours through PM after adding me to make sure. Razz

After a long session of testing and debugging with Ademar, I've managed to reproduce the same error in my local machines' alternative OS's, and after some more testing we've finally come to a breakthrough.

If this game's flash animations aren't loading for you, use the patch below.

Patch + instructions:
Code:
http://temp-share.com/show/dPf353AtW

Debugging results + detailed instructions (click in the spoiler below if the "Intructions.txt" file included in the .rar wasn't enough or if you just enjoy a good reading Laughing):
Debugging info:
All the comps and their respective OS's had their locale set to Japanese, as well as the latest flash player plugins installed for their browsers.

Laptop i7 8x2.0Ghz, 8gb ram, 2gb Radeon dedicated video
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits English -> Runs fine.
Windows XP Professional 32 Bits Portuguese (Virtual Machine) -> Doesn't run.

Desktop Core 2 Duo 2x2.93, 4gb ram, 1gb Nvidia dedicated video
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits English -> Runs fine.
Windows XP Professional 32 Bits Portuguese -> Didn't run.

Seems like specs weren't the cause of the problem, as 2 comps with completely diff specs could run it with one Windows install and, with the same specs and japanese locale/latest flash plugin/installed programs, couldn't run it with another OS.

Ademar's comp (not revealing specs due to my privacy policies)
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits Spanish -> Didn't run.

I wouldn't blame it on the system language either, as (apart from being highly-unlikely) the game would be designed for Japanese OS most likely.

Either way, I've developed an working patch which, upon run, will add and globally register any lacking ActionScript 3 classes for your Flash applications (discovered through debugging Ademar's and my local machines) allowing your game to run. Detailed instructions on how to install below.

Detailed instructions:
Download the patch.rar from the link at the beginning of this post, open the file which you just downloaded with WinRAR (or 7-Zip or WinZip or any .rar-compatible decompressing program) and run the "projector.exe" file (you can run it from any folder). Wait in the "..." screen while the projector installs any missing ActionScript 3 classes (it may take a while).

When it succeeds, the projector will automatically load an in-game flash which is my way to represent a "Installation successful" screen + a quick test. You may close the projector then (or test it a bit to check if it's really working, then close), and you'll be able to run all the animations in your browser from the start.html Smile. (after opening the "index.html", click on a girl's pic to load its flash file. When you want to change to another girl, just press the back button on your browser)

Patch tested on: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits Spanish, Windows XP 32 Bits Portuguese (Virtual Machine and Proper install). Both of my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits English ran the game without needing any patch.

If, by any chance, your game still doesn't run after running the projector patch (and making sure you have the latest flash plugin for your browser + Japanese system locale), feel free to contact me for support, I usually reply when I'm not too busy. Razz
