Start a new game, you get phase 2, after phase two you get a extra phase with some decisions.

It works perfect for me but i am running in full japanese mode and don't use applocale, but the error you describe sounds like the error i got when my system was not running in japanese mode and i didn't use applocale, so my advice is: Use applocale

ok that...that was a bit much....I saw the second end coming about three screens in advance but still...that was a bit much..I had a good umm lets just say it destroyed the mood...and the game over...that is just all kinds of wrong. And the extra phase has a heartbeat the entire time HA HA I feel like I need to take a shower now...
