Couple of new pics. throwing it all up in here after some debate in my head. First pic was the last one I managed before I had to uninstall every art program I'm familiar with due to windows being dumb and not letting me keep a program running AND keep my tablet drivers from being deleted. I'm playing at learning SAI now.

All the other pics are me experimenting and figuring out what I can do with SAI.

Among my possible projects is a crazy idea that keeps coming to me now and then ever since the second incarnation. The idea is to draw the entire pokedex, all of it. At this point that's over 720 possible images. I would be drawing them as a mix of ages in anthro form.

Two things!

First, I forgot to post a picture!

Second, I'm opening shop for $5 sketch commissions. PM me if you are interested. Set the subject as "Sketch Commission".

It will $5 for a single character, black and white image. I'm willing to color, but it'll cost a little more. I'm opening five slots right now and my queue will be an internet-wide listing. I'm advertising on several sites, furry, loli/shota, hentai and general content.

Internet dead at home. I'm still drawing stuff but have to be careful what I have on my screen when online until I can access a private net connection again. Crying or Very sad

The petite mouse is a blast from the past within the furry community. There was once a site called Playmouse. The intent of the site was to have classy pin-ups and other such art housed on the database. There was also the less wholesome side of the site known as Pentmouse. There was a major influx of anime fans in the fandom that brought a wave of kimonomimi characters with them and spawned a wave of 'what is furry!?' During this I created a gag character, Hachiko, the hentai mouse. It's been about a decade since the last time I drew this mouse, and all files associated with her are now gone after three computers and the Playmouse database failing, and then the site falling on hard time financially. Hachiko has always been hiding in some little corner of my demented mind though and seems to have finally decided to come back out and greet the much changed world.

The other image is an aged up Scootaloo looking a bit shy and indignant.

Don't know if I'll be managing to make the spring banner I started on, I might just jump ahead and start working on a summer one instead.

I've been mostly offline for a while now after going through one problem after another, mostly tech related. Computer has been up and down with one problem after another, and they voided my warranty after I lit into a guy from the repair shop for trying to give me a sales pitch instead of saying they don't do that repair type. He was honestly trying to explain how tough a DC jack is to replace on a laptop to a guy that did R&D that involved patching a laptop into avionics that were under development to create compartmentalized systems that could be disabled by removing one or to parts, a laptop being one of those parts. Took me $18 with shipping and an hour because I removed a few too many screws. internally. Tough repair... heh

ANYway, I've mostly been working with traditional media to iron out a few details for personal projects. This is really my first digital image in over a month. Spent an hour as I was watching a few shows making this. Hope y'all like it.

Two hours because of a lot of ctrl+z. while coloring.

Still alive! I'm also still having computer issues. I did manage to get my computer talking with my aged camera. I managed to take some snapshots of recent sketches. Here's some loose sketches, nothing serious.

These are all pencil on bristol board sized 11X14. The dog gal was drawn using both hands, right hand for drafting on the pose and fine detail work with the left for most of the work otherwise. Trying to learn to compensate for the spasms I've been having lately and knowing how to draw with both hands can help me keep running if I'm not having to awful a day of it.

Working on a new Feather-chan image too, but I need an art program to finish it.

I'm still alive folks, and I still can't do digital work. My folks did get me a nice present for my birthday though when they heard my busted camera is so old it uses an XD card. heh Took a picture of a five minute sketch I decided to do before bed this morning. Glad to have a rough of that thought out of my head. Hope folks like it.

I'm gonna go sleep now since I have an overnight shift into Thanksgiving. -_-;

Laptop still needs an upgrade, but I got an android tablet for Christmas and have been practicing three minute still life drawing with my beer bottles. This is the first from-my-head pic I've done using it. I might make myself a better stylus to use. The puffy ones aren't too great for fine detail work, even magnified highly. I'm all for using my fingers as tool too, but it's not accurate enough with this thing to get the job done. It's like using a hammer where a precision screwdriver is needed. heh

Used Autodesk Sketchbook to make this. Pro options are on sale in the Google Play store right now. Powerful little program I intend to have on my laptop too when I can afford it. This was an hour of playing with tools and doing a lot of erasing and undo as I pushed tool controls around. Might do more with this, might not. Razz

Hi TKitty - happy New Year! I'm impressed that you did that well just using your fingers. I hope that you aren't stuck with finger painting for long. How does Autodesk Sketchbook compare with your favorite drawing program? Smile

Thanks, and I hope you have a good year too.

Comparison? I would rank the tablet version up there with about one version ago of Opencanvas with how the UI feels, but right in there with Manga/Clip Studio, current OC and other such programs in possible results. The way the program is handled, it fosters a community though, with direct tie-ins to deviantart built into the web interface of the program.

Sorry if I get long winded, but I've been tooling around with this since a few days after Christmas on Android and off and on with my weak laptop since October using the free version.

The computer version's UI is very intuitive and I put it right there with any of the other current programs most online artists use.

Pro use can be a one time fee with a tablet, but the recurring usage fee they have for computer use has kind of been making me hold back, even if it is really affordable for what you seem to be getting. If you were to have membership though, all upgrades are free and the program unlocks as pro on all compatible devices. It's available for Windows, Mac, Android and iOs.

It's a stripped down art program that focuses on usage and creation over complex, minute control of every little thing with every bell and whistle under the sun. It has it, but you aren't left feeling like you need to jump through hoops to make use of it. I like the simplicity it offers. I don't need three levels of opacity control in five different places redundantly. Opacity lock and one slider per layer is plenty with anything else in a menu I can call up, or as part of the transform function. I only need two, maybe three sliders on a brush, not five or eight. Laughing That said, custom brushes can still be made and the company has tons of stuff they offer up for download to add to the brush pallet. It has full wacom support as well. OH! And Copic is on board with this program as well. So smudging, color blending, markers and brushes that come with it look pretty awesome even in the free version

I've been fiddling around using the perspective guides and french curves a little bit since I put that pic up. Been finding more to like about this program the more I tool around with it.

The program is powerful, but bare bones enough that I can do more right now using it on my laptop than any of my other art programs with 4 gig total available RAM.

Been focusing on wasting paper with sketches lately. Back to basics, since I can't get much else done. Couple of quick sketches out of my sketchbook.

Two of these were inspired by an advert I saw for an app. The app is called Jelly Blast, if anyone is interested. Figured I might try building up to adding a rule 34 image to the internet with that game as the focus. Laughing

I did another Feather sketch, but my hands are too shaky to ink it reliably. Crying or Very sad

Having trouble keeping my hands steady today. I did a bunch of sketching at least, but inking is incredibly difficult when I run the risk of randomly changing the angle or speed of a pen stroke. Had to hold the pen with both hands to keep it steady enough to do this one, and it still got weird on spots. Not fun to cut too sharp an angle and get your pen nib spitting at the page.

This isn't the image I really wanted to ink today, (I WANTED TO INK A CUTE MASCOT!!!) but at least I got something decently inked. This was a quick sketch that I only cleaned the lines enough to ink. Didn't really bother correcting any of the anatomy on it before I started.

I got to try out the walnut ink I got recently and learned that it isn't waterproof, like a friend said it was. Had hopes of painting this once the ink dried, oh well. You can see, on her head, where I started to wet the page for prep and learned my lesson. lol

Walnut ink on watercolor paper using a Tachikawa no.99 mapping pen nib.

I always wish I could give more insightful responses but at the risk of repeating myself, I think this last sketch is cute and really like what you do with line quality. I know that manual dextrous stability is something that you struggle with personally. As a fan though, and I think most would agree, your work always seems to come out tight, clean and above all, adorable. This dino-girl is no different (forgive me if I got the anthro source off, she looks like a dino-cutie).

I've been watching a lot of new Dragon Ball recently and she kinda reminds me of the Frieza family/character design. It's like if instead of evil, they were hot lolis, lol.

The Jelly-blast girls were cute as hell too. I can't say enough for all your work, so I'll just leave it at that. Thanks for sharing, as always!
